The actual topics of my research interests in cellular automata, evolutionary computation and artificial life and how active I've been in them can be better appreciated through conceptual maps than can be drawn from the perspective of my present and former students.

At Mackenzie, I have usually taught Automata and Formal Languages, Evolutionary Computation, Cellular Automata and Artificial Intelligence, for the Postgraduate Programme in Electrical Engineering, Automata and Formal Languages for the Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, and, more recently, Artificial Intelligence for the Undergraduate Degree in Information Systems.
