n Research keywords: cellular automata, evolutionary computation, and artificial life.
n Faculty member of the School of Computing and Informatics, Mackenzie Presbyterian University. I've been at Mackenzie since mid-2001, with research and teaching activities at the postgraduate programme in Electrical Engineering and at the undergraduate degree in Computer Science.
n Supervisor of 2 PhD Thesis and 3 MSc Dissertations in the postgraduate programme in Electrical Engineering, and 3 Last-Year Projects in the Computer Science degree.
n Holder of research grants from São Paulo State Foundation for Research Support, Mackenzie Research Fund, and Wolfram Research.
n Chairman of Automata 2009: 15^th International Workshop on Cellular Automata and Discrete Complex Systems, to be held in São José dos Campos, SP, Brazil, in October 10-12, 2009.
